Funding: The facts for 2 and 3 year olds

TWO YEAR FUNDING THE FACTS...

1) At the present time, two year funding is not open to every two year old (unlike the 3 year funding to which every child is entitled to, the term after their 3rd birthday)

2) If you would like full details regarding the current criteria for accessing 2 year funding please contact the nursery. We will be happy to guide you through the process and help you make the application.

3) If your child does qualify for 2 year funding they will be able to (subject to session availability) access their entitlement at Noah's Nursery.

THREE YEAR FUNDING THE FACTS...

1) Every child is entitled to access the Free Early Years Entitlement Grant from the term after their 3rd birthday.

Therefore:

i) If your child is 3 on or before 31st August then funding can be accessed from September that same year.

ii) If your child is 3 on or before 31st December then funding can be accessed from January the following year

ii) If your child is 3 on or before 31st March then funding can be accessed from Easter that same year.

2) At Noah's we have two options to use your funding, we can spread your child's entitlement throughout the 50 weeks the nursery is open or your child can attend term time only, mimicking the school term timetable. The maximum annual entitlement is 570 hours.

3) The funding should be offered, by all settings, as flexibly as possible, with the stipulations that the maximum daily hours are 10 in one day and full entitlement can only be claimed over a minimum of 2 days (in accordance with Essex County Council Statutory Guidance).

At Noah's we are proud to offer the entitlement for use with morning, afternoon,
day sessions or a combination of both.  Parents are free to top up and extend their child's hours making childcare more affordable and flexible to their individual needs.
